Install tooloutbox locally

Clone the repository, run the local acceptance suite on Node 22, execute a fixture through the outbox CLI, and re-attest the receipt store offline. No account and no hosted service.

Four steps to first evidence

The local fixture and CLI trial is free and needs no account. Node 22 is the pinned runtime (see .nvmrc and the Dockerfile).

  1. Clone the repository.
    git clone https://github.com/gitdhillonai/tooloutbox.dev.git && cd tooloutbox.dev
  2. Run the local acceptance suite.
    npm test
  3. Run a fixture through the outbox and persist the receipt store.
    node src/cli.mjs run tests/fixtures/positive.json --wal /tmp/outbox.log
  4. Re-attest the receipt store offline from the log alone.
    node src/cli.mjs verify /tmp/outbox.log

The evidence report distinguishes three verdicts — pass (exit 0), fail (exit 2), and unknown (exit 3). verify never talks to an adapter and never re-applies a write.
